Blog about Barbet Yatzie & Moët

My life with the French waterdogs Yatzie born 2007 and her daughter Moët born 2011. Barbets are purebred, active, relaxed and allergy friendly dogs with a soft and loving spirit. I am Swedish but live with my dogs in Holland. I hope you will enjoy the blog! Enlarge the photos by clicking on them.

We took the dogs along to Amsterdam this sunny weekend! In Holland dogs are really welcome everywhere -  in shops and restaurants as well! I certainly choose the right country to immigrate to! Look at those picturesque houses on the other side of the river! And the characteristic house boat behind the doggies and Bart. It is just so Amsterdam - I love it!

Moët's power puppy Vera (Peliyah) was placed with an owner who knows a lot about dog training (Tanja Loerup in Denmark) and they make a perfect couple. But look here, in this video, how excellent Tanja's 5,5 year old daughter Ella trains Vera! Such mother, such daughter is really true in this case!

Vera had her first walk on the beach in Denmark last week and we got these lovely photos of her!

I got this sweet photo of Amaro experiencing snow for the first time. He looks a bit perplexed!

Jolie is a puppy from Yatzie's second nest, and she just turned two. I had not seen her for a year and what a surprise is was to find that her solid dark brown colour had developed into an amazing mixture of dark brown with white. I find it so beautiful! I have never seen anything like that in a barbet before. We all had a great time as we were walking on the fields of Groningen this past weekend. Yatzie lost herself digging for a field mouse. We even saw him run away as she was digging into his safe place, poor little thing. Jolie's owners like to keep her fur short, and see what a huge different the cut can make, in the picture where the two half-sisters pose together! Jolie is a very happy and loving dog, and she still recognizes and gets very excited when she meets her first family. That is always a nice feeling for a breeder!

Yeye and Elvi came to stay overday and we took a nice walk near the waters, where they jumped in all together! In this film Elvi is in focus in the beginning. Look what a nice, big puppy she has grown into! I also laugh so much seeing our whirlwind Yeye, on her way to the water, jumping right over her mother Yatzie!

The happy and energetic Angel litter is turning 2 years today! They have all grown into lovely barbets spreading joy and happiness to their families in Holland and Sweden. In case you can't tell who is who, (and it is difficult to do!) this is the case, from left:
Row 1, Jolie (Zofiel), Frits (Cherubiel)
Row 2: Yeye (Yeyezel),  Balou (Phanuel), Dante (Jeremiel), Billie (Muriel)
Row 3: Angel and below her Oscar (Umabel), Luna (Hanael), Hugo (Nahaliel)

And this is what they looked like then, 2 years ago!

Nice neighbour treating the dogs (mine and another neighbour's dog too) on our morning walk today! They all sat down so politely to get their share -  her own dog started dancing for hers!
