Blog about Barbet Yatzie & Moët

My life with the French waterdogs Yatzie born 2007 and her daughter Moët born 2011. Barbets are purebred, active, relaxed and allergy friendly dogs with a soft and loving spirit. I am Swedish but live with my dogs in Holland. I hope you will enjoy the blog! Enlarge the photos by clicking on them.

Vera (Peliyah) Moët's daughter living in Denmark is a happy and lively puppy that goes under the nick name Miss PowerPuppy! Here with her beloved green worm!

These two members of the Roest family look alike in many ways - sweet, sensitive and loving, but I have to say aren't they also just as handsome Bas and Moët?

Yatzie and Moët come along with me to the office every day. Barbets don't fancy being home alone (which dog does anyway?) and I have been blessed with the possibility to choose a working life where they can be with me all the time. I love having them around and since they are such relaxed dogs they just melt in whereever we go. Here is Yatzie on a lazy day at our office.

A few weeks ago it was crab - this time lobster! Moët had never before tasted lobster and she went crazy after Bart gave her one first piece of this delicious beast. The day after we passed by the restaurant and I did not realize what was going on at first, but Moët was with determination pulling me over to the other side of the street, towards the entrance of the restaurant, to check out if lobster was still on the menu!

Tomorrow starts the exam week for Bas and Margot, so there is a lot of studying going on. Moët provides a nice little break for the hard working kids when she comes and asks for attention. Who can say no to a cuddle with such a sweet heart as Moët! Maybe she can even help with the learning -  she looks just as focussed on the Greek studies as Bas!

Osher, Moët's puppy that went to the Nappyroots Kennel in Canada, is since a few months living with the Jones family, where he has the company of the barbet girl Scarlett  ' Nappy Roots Fara ' who is also part of Chris & Ula Peppers breeding program. Osher is called Oscar and has found a most loving home with the Jones family of 6 + 2 dogs! Here he is seen with his mate 12 year old Sophie, as well as mum and dad Tory and Curtis.
Chris, who is a professional photographer, sent us these lovely photos of our handsome Canadian boy!

Lizzie (Moët's daughter) and Luna (Yatzie's daughter) live together in Limburg and they came to visit us! Lizzie has her puppy fur still and looks like a perfect shaggy barbet of the old lines - so cute, don't you think? Anja spolied all the dogs with goodies, and they nicely lined up to het their share. This day we also had our neighbour golden-lab crossing Diesel staying over. He is very playful and had a ball with the two barbet girls from the south!
